holy crap

so it’s been like a year and change since i late posted on the interwebs.

man, i’ve changed.

between here, and IM, and flickr, and other people’s blogs, I used to really be all over the interwebs. It wasn’t until ACW started posting again that i realized i never look at this thing.

but something has changed…..but what?

well here’s a short list:

i actually have to do work at work. – yeah i know, it’s weird. i suppose it’s good. but it sort of sucks.
while at work, i don’t IM: there are 2 reasons for this 1) the corporate overlords banned IM clients other than one that is linked to outlook. While i know they can read everything i write, or think, or type, or might ever consider anyway, for some reason, i don’t want to use it. I know know, there are web based IM clients, like that google chat thing, but really if i’m at my desk i’m working, or looking up expensive “manly yet still kinda girly” leather goods
Facebook. facebook has fucked up the internet. like big time. micro blogging via status updates is fine, but sorta lame. writing big posts on facebook is awkward and well no one is looking for that anymore. no need for flickr anymore, b/c facebook has pictures. and natty has assumed control of both the camera and the macbook at home. so i’ not in charge of that crap anymore. Not only that–all of you stopped blogging too. my RSS feeder is deader than, um, wow back in the day i’d have a funny thing to finish that out. but you get my drift. oh sure i read about iphone rumors and tips and leaks and crap but seriously. no one blogs anymore
I’ve gotten boring. my life is split up in to 3 modes: working (covered that), watching the kids, and sleeping. the last 2 are boring. so there aren’t many “jefke went to the rite aid and the meth addict in front of him had a fit and her teeth feel out and rats came out and picked them up and scurried away” stories anymore.

but at the same time i miss this shit. i miss the comments, the random people that visited that i’d never probably friend on facebook and probably could never find me on FB (i keep that shit locked down, yo!) so what to do?

Great post on ‘get rich slowly’.com–the guy’s little brother got stuck with 2 mortgages and had one of the houses, err get foreclosed on (right term?). at any rate this was my fear with what we did. thankfully we had an offer on the old house and took it (seems like they had a bad bad agent).

but otherwise that was us. i’m not saying we’re still not struggling to make ends meet, but man, my heart goes out to this guy.
