Jeff - We traded in the Subie for a Honda Pilot. I have to say that was a great move - we can pack us, Miles and the 3 dogs + all our crap for a long weekend in VT with only a little creative packing.

Wow, I've never written "Spaghettios" so many times in my life. I'm not sure that I've ever written Spaghettios before today.

Hi Jefke, Didn't want you to think no one was reading. I also wanted to post my latest finding. It's so weird that I had to get it out there. For those who didn't know, Jeff is sick (fever, feels yucky), so I went to get him some foods he likes from Superfresh yesterday. One of those things was Spaghettios. I found the section with all the canned pasta products and looked and looked and looked for Spaghettios, but could not find them. I finally spotted some America's Choice spaghetti rings in tomato sauce. I asked one of the Superfresh people where I could find Spaghettios. She looked in the aisle, looked in her computer Spaghettios locator, and still came up with nothing. I began to think that maybe there was some sort of Spaghettios recall that I hadn't yet heard about. How could there be no Spaghettios on the shelf? Had they stopped making them? Maybe they had and I didn't know about it since I haven't bought them in years. The Superfresh lady suggested I ask at customer service where I might find them (maybe they had their own special Spaghettios section away from the other canned pastas). So after a relatively long wait with a sleepy Nathan in tow, I was finally able to ask. The customer service lady had to page the Spaghettios clerk to finally get an answer to the mystery. It turns out that Spaghettios are now a discontinued item at our Superfresh. How can Spaghettios be discontinued? That's like saying that they no longer carry Jello or Old El Paso taco shells. I dunno, just doesn't seem right. Also consider that we live in an area that, though there is a lot of hipster action and regentrification going on, there are also plenty of down-to-earth Spaghettios-eating types. I can't imagine that there is no market for Spaghettios here. So, in then end I bought the America's Choice (ironic that they should call it America's Choice, as there was no choice at all) spaghetti rings in tomato sauce and called it a day. Actually, once I had them in the pot, they tasted a lot like the real thing. Maybe Giant will still have them. I'll have to check.
