right, so some time between 9 pm last night at 8 am this morning, natty and i crossed over in to our 15 year of, um, companionship (i dunno i should say dating, but i just don’t wanna). 14 years down 3 to go. (just kidding, just kidding).
since this is a non anniversary, i won’t wax poetic, but it does feel like we’ve been together for a looooong time. no but in a good way. oddly enough, i spent last night sober, which is in stark contrast to that night in 1994. maybe i am growing up? (no i’m not i was just recovering from saturday night).
well anyway, happy fake anniversary natty.
i love you.

At what age will you reach more years together than apart?

Funny, I did point out to Jeff that in a few years I will have known him longer than not. Let’s see- I met him shortly before my 19th birthday and it’s been just over 14 years, so I guess it’s another five years when I am looking way too young to be that old. Thank you, sweet Jeffrey, for your post. And thanks for the chocolates. The box won’t last long, as I am sure you know (Neuhaus- http://www.neuhaus-online-store.com/ and they are the BEST chocolates, as I learned when we lived in Belgium). Happy sort of anniversary!!

Man my memory is fading a bit but I think that I can *still* remember when Jeff and Natty met. If my memory serves correct (and these days that seems to be less often) but that “house party” you refer to in the “decade” post happened to be at a townhouse at SMC and I believe that it happened to be a 21st birthday party for someone….
You’ll have to let me know if my memory is correct on this one. I think that it is since I recall Natasha playing drinking games in the kitchen of that townhouse. To think that you left her alone in that house with my roommates and god who knows else. Clearly you two were destined to be together if she didn’t leave you after that night. I jest, of course.
Additionally I’ll never forget the house on Maple street. I have great memories of that place - sometimes when I head up to Burlington I take a drive-by just to see how the old apt. is holding up. Last year when I ran a leg of the Burlington Marathon I looked up Maple st and wondered if that strange guy who shoveled the sidewalk still lived there. Anyhow, we all got to spend a lot of time together and I look back on it with fond memories.
Its not often these days that one sees two people so well suited for one another. May the next 14 be as good as the first 14 and the 14 after that make the rest of it look lame.
So happy sort of anniversary to the two of you.
Cheers!
Jason

I was going to say something really witty, but all of a sudden I realized that the things I had to say weren’t witty at all, so I’ll just stick with Happy 14, Kids!
