after 4 months of wednesday trips up and back to nyc, finally a member of amtrak’s wonderful (and seriously i’m not being sarcastic) staff, finally reconginzes me. I now have a new friend named june that runs the cafe car on the 5:39 south out of nyp penn station. my identifiying factor–i drink cans of MGD when i’m on the train
Why? well it’s cheaper than heinekein, i prefer cans now (hampden represent!) and it’s better than bud.
apparently i’m the only one on the north east line that asks for it.
my mom would be so proud

Sorry I didn’t say it earlier, but I’m glad to see you posting again. Given the number comments posted already, you have several/a few people checking in on a regular basis. Something to smile about. Oh, and my latest life lesson as a nurse…there are many stupid and careless people out there. You’d think that they would learn how to use birth control if they’re 19 and already on their 3rd pregnancy (yes, the hospital counsels young moms on this). But, apparently, it is more comlicated to use than I ever realized. Go figure.

I find it fitting that the first person to recognize you would be the person serving the beer.
Cans rule. I haven’t had a lot of beer, lately, what with the running and all, but I drink my Diet Coke out of cans, so I’m with you, in a far less-manly, more wussy sort of way.

Oh-and hi, Natty!
Re. the birth control issue, it could be worse. One of Hartford’s 3 main hospitals is Catholic, so they practically encourage you to keep popping em out, regardless of your age. No family planning education whatsoever.
