it’s been awhile kids and well, i’m sorry for that
not all broken up about it, but i feel a little bad. so you have that. which, i know, means a lot to all of you.
right, so lets see what’s been going on. Right not i’m in the corporate apartment i wrote about a few months back. the client i came up to visit, is closed for the day because there was some snow and ice last night. so, in essence i am here for no reason. i’m not mad really, just a bit annoyed. but hey that’s the sexy life of consulting.
natty has completed all her classes, tests, and all that shit for nursing and is now an official licensed nurse. it’s been a long road, but it seems it’s coming to an end, or a turn, or a hill perhaps, no–a valley, i dunno. something’s changing.
As part of our life transition, we decided to swap offices within the house. you see since we moved in, natty’s be using what could be considered a bedroom upstairs as her office. when i started working from home, i set up shop in a back room that we didnt’ really use at the time. all was fine until the capt arrived and especially started crawling/walking. now that natty’s done with school and doesn’t require a dedicated workspace…we moved stuff so that i’m now upstairs and she’s downstairs. exciting huh. well anyway it’s a big change for us. I have a door now to my office which is quite a breakthrough. granted the door has a kitty door cut in it, and the capt sometimes walks down the hall and looks in through the door, which is sorta cute. but i feel all professional. very grown up.
In terms of the captain, he’s really starting to become a funny little guy. (warning–parenting section) he’s built up quite a vocabulary, and while his pronouciation isn’t 100% all the time, he can now string words together to get his point across. which is pretty cool. he has a little dance he does when he’s happy which is pretty damn cute, and he’s obsessed with washing dishes. which again, is pretty damn cute as well. there that’s all i’ll say.
On anna nicole:
right so anna nicole died the other day (or did she?). I”m gonna go out on a limb and say it was the cia that did it. why? to cover up the affair she was having with pres. bush. am i the only one that sees the parallels with marilyn monroe here? it’s uncanny. i’m pretty sure the vodka enema rumors will start going around soon (maybe trim spa ones..) i hope danzig writes a song about it. you just wait and remember you read it here first.

Ok, Jefke didn’t make much deal of it, but I am pretty proud of the nursing thing, so I’ll make a big deal to make me feel good. I’ve finished school (old news), but also passed my board exam, then NCLEX! I was a nervous wreck, but it went as well as it could have gone, as I got the minimum number of questions and passed. On a cute note, once I’d passed I kept saying, “I passed, yay!!” Nathan soon took to saying, “Passed,” followed by, “Yay!” Very, very cute. Even now, when we say ,”passed,” or, “past,” he follows up with a, “Yay!” Kids are cool!

Correction, “board exam, the NCLEX.” Not board exam, then NCLEX. Just one exam.

Good job. Hopefully next time we’re over I’ll cut my leg off or something so you can show off your new nursing abilities (not that you specialize in that area, just trying to think of something)

Thank you, everybody, for the congats and no need to go injuring yourself to test my abilities. A big part of nursing is health promotion and preventing/avoiding adverse health events, so don’t go hurting yourself.
