well that’s not entirely true, i hate not knowing how to do stuff, and i hate not being able to just figure it out on my own…i think it’s a sign of getting old. ok i know it’s a sign of getting old. ugh.
so back to the traditional jefke-esque theme. for the life of me i can’t get the old style banner to work up in the header of this thing. and frankly i’m too lazy to go and get css for loser per the quebe’s suggestion. oh well, you can read shit, right? go knows the site was never pretty to start with. so well, get over it. it’s my brilliant wit and insightful commentary that keeps you coming back…right? don’t answer that.
you’ll notice that v2 is all f’d up too. i am only partially to blame for that one, as mr b took some liberites with teh php code on his own. now i would have thought re upping the source files would fix that. but well, i was wrong.
but life goes on. or does it.

Well mr. b should give those liberites *and* the PHP code back.
This is better.
Can’t you just hard-code you frickin’ angry-man image into the header block?

wow richy, you’re a genius–what an idea! hardcoding. you in upper management already?
well i tried that–here’s the thing smarty pants. ok so this theme has 3 images that are called up in the header style of the css, they make the lovely round edges of the header adn the menu.
Wordpress has a main index file that calls up a header.php file. so where does one add the angry image…well i’ve tried it everywhere.
1) if i add it to the css (have it called up instead of the white rounded image, it’s all huge and stretched out (note the header image does not have size defined).
2) if i leave the css alone and then hardcode the image to appear instead of the jefke.com link, the whole blog goes in to 38 pt font and weird shit happens.
3) if i replace the area where the header php script is call in the main index template, then teh whole thing gives me an error.
so it’s not a matter of knowing attributes to err attribute to the image, it’s more a matter of where otu of those 3 places do i call the image, and then how to get it to sit right.
now i’m sure there’s a FAQ somewhere that would ’splain it to me. but well, i am sick of thinking about it.
