Woo hoo, the comments are working!

  • 2 B // May 31, 2004 at 7:49 pm

Very sparse. Double spacing means not having as much information on the screen as before.

  • 3 B // May 31, 2004 at 7:50 pm

Also: comments used to be a seperate window. Why the change?

  • 4 B // May 31, 2004 at 7:53 pm

Lastly: when my comments are posted and I return ‘home’ to jefke.com, the information is not updated. (I am not indicated as the one who most recently posted, the ‘comments’ number does not increase, etc.)

    1) dunno what to do about the spacing

    2) the window is gone. sorry but such is life.

    3) if you refresh the page you’ll see your comment as the newest and freshest.

    can’t please everyone.

    1) What do you mean you DON’T KNOW?

    2) I liked that little window. It was the comment box, like a suggestion box, or a letter box. It was a stiffen your socks, tickity tap on the rocks, Dr. Seussily wonderful box!

    3) No, it does NOT refresh!

The problem is only on the main page. The ‘Recent Comments’ list is accurate for the individual posts, but reverts to older (cached?) data when you return to the home page.

Another bug…my scroll button doens’t work on your site now. Not the scroll itself, but you can push the scroll button on this mouse, which allows you to slide up and down the page without having to push or drag anything. The only other place it doesn’t work is on MSNBC. If you could fix that, that’d be great.
