making the world a bitter place

further evidence that FLA is evil

February 11th, 2004 · 6 Comments

so in celebration of our fake anniversary, natty and i went out to dinner and see the aclaimed movie ‘monster’–yup very cheery.

overall the movie was very well done, compelling, charlize theron’s (or whatever) performance was indeed amazing…but forwhatever reason, the movie just didnt’ pack a punch for me, oh well, here are the important thoughts:

1) is it me or is christina ricci becoming some sort of alien or character from an anime film? her eyes seem to be getting bigger and her overall head, smaller. it’s freaking me out.

2) this movie and the story upon it is based, are just further proof that florida is eviil and we should set dynamite at the border and break that sucker off and sink it. and don’t tell me it could have happened anywhere, because though true, it didn’t happen anywhere–it happened in florida.

3) it comes as no surprise, or should i say it actually feels really right, that a relationship that involves murder and betrayal would/should start with the journey song “don’t stop believing’ at a roller rink…oh shit, our wedding ended with that song. whoops.

that is all…

Don’t forget that we went for Tapas first. They were quite yummy, as was the chocolate and coconut ice cream.

Ted Bundy was also in Florida (though he did murder in other places as well). Seems that Aileen Wuornos may be a bit less sympathetic of a character than the movie would have you think, but who knows. I guess you don’t get to be that way for no reason at all. And I think she deviates from normal serial killer profile in that she had a partner. If I’m not mistaken, most are very solitary. But then again, most are also men.

Let me know if you blow it off into the ocean, I want to buy some “new” ocean front property before you do.

Clever Don. Ocean front property on the southern coast of Georgia. I’ll buy some, too. But the poor Cubans will have to swim that much further. Glad my grandfather made it over before the great Florida Blast Off!

Uh Jefke . . . where would we put all our old people if we didn’t have Florida?

Old people to coastal North Carolina. It’s already the new non-jewish Florida.

Let’s keep florida afloat, we’ll just push it way the fuck out in the ocean. That way, the old people can still live there.
