I love’m. long ones, short ones, formal ones, stupid ones, boring ones, ones that i have nothing to add to, ones that i’m responsibile for–i love meetings.

many people hate meetings. in fact most people seem to hate meetings. I don’t get it. you get to leave your desk, listen to other people talk, even if it makes no sense, then sometimes you get to comment, and then it’s over. Rarely does anything get done. and yet, you’re paid for it. and better yet, you’re supposed to be doing it, so it’s not like you’re wasting time or anything, b/c it’s part of most jobs. I think i really missed meetings when i was working from home, in fact i know i did. oh sure phone meetings are meetings, but there’s something about a meeting in somebody’s office, where you can’t be reached, or see email or anything. it’s like recess from doing shit.

i need to be a CEO. I think they have nothing BUT meetings, there’s not filler at all, just back to back to back. then martini’s at the men’s club and golf. yes i need to be a CEO or senior exectutive super VP. maybe that’s better cuz you don’t actualy have to go and give presentations to the stock holders.
