So it turns out that maintaining a moustache is acutely more of a hassle
than a goatee, or just shaving all the time. i let things go for a couple
days, which made me look like a not only like a dirtbag (what else is
new) but a dirtbag with an overactive upperlip region. So today i got
up and shaved and now the ’stache is very well defined, acutely it’s pretty
much unmistakable. I just stepped out to the grocery store, and booze
store to get some stuff for dinner (i’m going to make Coq au Vin, tee
heee, ‘coq’), and the reactions were subdued but definitely there. At
the food store a hipster teenager chick just arriving for her shift, gave
a full on double take, and then what i would call a sneer. but the best
was at the liquor store, one of the stock boys, a guy prolly in his mid
20’s looked at me, and gave me the “ha, that’s funny man” nod, twice.
It’s starting to get itchy and a bit embarrassing, we’ll have to see how
long i can hold out before shaving. If i had more resources, I’d turn
this in to a Stinky
feet or date my
sister project, but that’s been done and well those spark guys do
it pretty damn well. More adventures soon.
