Happy Colonize the western world day, and for our friends to the north, Happy Quebesgiving!! I’m on the road, hiding at the compound, covering for my vacationing parents. This gets me away from the receptionist business in title only, as i pretty much just answer phone calls here anyway. But, it was a good weekend. I headed in to Boblyn to see my good friends crazy sean and even crazier Clay. Like all of my adventures with sean and clay, we ended up in a bar. This time was a bit more strange than usual–this bar was playing 80’s music, (not that strange, but wait) but not fun 80’s music, but rather 80’s goth music (well, not really goth but new order and depeche mode and stuff, still not all that strange but wait), and the population of the bar, apart from sean, his friends from college and myself, was alice cooper/maryalin manson look alikes (ok, a bit stranger for me at least) and every so often, the group of them would get up, en masse and dance to the music, molly ringwald style (very strange) and then they’d just sit back down, and then get up later. Eventually i was totally loaded and bob showed up, and then epstein. I was great to see them, but i couldn’t hear anything and i dont’ remember a thing that we talked about. The evening end up with fried chicken and sean giving me a chalrie horse on my leg that still hurts, 2 days later.
I shuffled back to CT after what was perhaps my worst hangover headache. And prepared for the arrival Basil and Hilde coming from belgium by way of Pittsbugh PA. After some mistakes in the directions provided by me, they arrived safe and sound and i began preperations on my famed pizza roll. Natty arrived a couple hours later and we were ready to be 2 married couples having dinner together. very strange indeed, i’m married and have married friends. it just sneaks up on you i guess. but it was fun. Yesterday, was pumpkin carving, and clean up. today, back to work.
